Recording Progress

We start tracking the new record next weekend. We're thinking about just completing two or three songs at a time rather than do the whole album at once. Seems it might be more relaxed that way.

But a question for all of you: over at Discmakers, they have an upgrade package that makes CDs look like mini vinyl records. Check it out here; the description is about halfway down the page, and the picture of them is in the header. Anyway, I know we want to do this, but I can't decide on whether we want to use jackets like a vinyl record would've had, or jewel cases. With the jackets, it would certainly go with the old vinyl theme, but the jewel cases are sturdier, more traditional, and allow for more printed information. If we went with jackets, we could put all the info (lyrics, etc) here on the web site, and it would cost less (and be GREENER!).

Any thoughts about preference?

Mostly finished with bass and drums and rhythm guitar!! Will need touch ups, but it's gettin' closer, people!!!

Drums, bass, electric rhythm guitars, and acoustic rhythm guitars are all finished!!

Wednesday, I'm doing the piano parts, and next week, the lead vocals will get recorded! After that, lead guitar and backing vocals will be all that's left to do!

We're going in for the final recording session on Monday. We're so excited that this is almost finished!!!
